The eligibility and purchasing power calculators run entirely in your browser. Incomes, savings and household details you type are never sent to us or stored anywhere.
Email alerts
If you sign up for alerts we store your email address, the counties and scheme types you chose, an optional rent ceiling, the time you signed up and confirmed, and the time of the last email we sent you. Legal basis: your consent, given when you confirm the address by clicking the link we email you. We use this data only to send the alerts described on the alerts page. We do not sell, rent or share it with anyone for marketing.
Emails are sent through Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES, EU region, Ireland). Every email has an unsubscribe link; using it stops alerts immediately and we delete the address within 30 days. You can also email us to be removed or to see what we hold.
Payments
If you buy paid alerts, the payment is handled by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd (Dublin). Stripe receives your card details and email address; we never see your card number. We store the Stripe payment reference, the amount, the date, and the date your paid alerts end, for as long as required for tax records (six years). Legal basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation.
Hosting and analytics
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes visitor IP addresses to deliver pages and to block abuse. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you across sites. When Google Analytics is enabled it uses IP anonymisation and cookies to count visits; you can block those cookies in your browser without affecting the site.
Advertising
If we show advertisements they are served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies to show relevant ads. You can control this at Google Ads Settings.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can access, correct, export or delete your data and withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. You can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
